As you may have guessed, I kind of love design. I actually came to be graphic designer quite by accident many, many (MANY) years ago, when I landed my first job as a low-level coffee-grabber and phone-answerer in a New York City magazine publishing company. With my English degree in hand, I was poised to take the industry by storm as a writer and editor.
Well.
After spending some time learning the business from the production side, I quickly realized my real passion was design. I couldn't get enough of typography, graphics, and that perfect way that the right image and layout can completely transform a brand. I still feel this way. I’ve worked in every imaginable industry, from healthcare to finance to food, with companies huge and tiny, and I still get up every day feeling excited about what I do.
